We have all heard the saying, "there are those who wait for things to happen and there are those who make things happen" - well, Shelly Streeter is out to make things happen with her career. Having put her singing career ambitions on hold until her family was raised, Streeter has now hit the ground running.

Not wanting to "wait to be discovered" by a major label, she released her first album on her own Streeterbilt Records label and subsequently swept the California Country Music Association and Country Music Association of America Awards shows garnering the awards for female artist and entertainer of the year; many awards have followed and the accolades continue.

She traveled, at her own expense, to Oklahoma as the celebrity spokesperson for the March of Dimes.  During her stay there she spent three days meeting with the soldiers of Fort Sill Army base.  It is not surprising, therefore, that she has amassed a large following from military country music fans across the country and around the world.

A dynamic live performer, Streeter has opened for Merle Haggard, Vince Gill, Joe Diffie, Pam Tillis, George Jones, Aaron Tippin, Waylon Jennings, Waylon Jennings, Hal Ketchum, Michelle Wright, Trace Adkins, the Oakridge Boys, the Bellamy Bros and Sammy Kershaw.  She was also a headline performer on two legs of the Wal-Mart Country Music Tour, which took her through California, Oregon, Washington, Montana and Texas. She has played at numerous concerts, benefits/fund raisers, state fairs and festivals from California to Tennessee... so watch for Shelly in a venue near you!
